AIHC Student Award for Interprofessional Collaborative Practice

Description

This award is given to a student who has demonstrated consistent engagement in an interprofessional collaborative practice within the clinic, classroom and/or community.

 
Eligibility

AIHC student member in good standing.


Nature of award

 - Certificate
 - One year free membership to AIHC
 - The award will be publicly acknowledged at national and international conferences such as Nexus Summit 2022 and Collaborations Across Borders


Application/Nomination Procedure:

Nomination submission deadline is September 2, 2022.
  1. Should a student wish to be considered for this award, they must:
    • Submit one letter of support from a faculty member or faculty mentor.
    • The nominated student must submit an electronic poster to include the criteria below for award consideration
  2. The Chair of the AIHC Scholarship Committee will call for nominations.
  3. The AIHC scholarship awards subcommittee will review nominations and determine award recipient
  4. Self-nomination or nomination by a faculty member or faculty member is accepted.
  5. Submission of one letter of support from faculty member or faculty mentor. Letter must include the following criteria:

    • Description of engagement [project, mentorship, clinical or community experience] in interprofessional collaborative practice.

    • Description of outcomes and/or impact on the clinic, classroom and/or community.

    • Evidence of demonstrating interprofessional communication, collaboration and excellence as team member.

  6. Electronic poster to be submitted by the nominated student. Please include the following criteria in the electronic poster:

    • Description of engagement [project, mentorship, clinical or community experience] in interprofessional collaborative practice.

    • Description of outcomes and/or impact on the clinic, classroom and/or community.

    • Reflection on lessons learned about interprofessional collaborative practice.

    • Description of how experience will impact your future practice.
