AIHC is seeking nominations for several important leadership roles as well as service roles with AIHC standing collaboratives and committees.

Background
Two years ago, the AIHC Task Force developed a new structure to support its community, which minimizes hierarchies, supports and enables collaboration across our organization, and facilitates our work to improve health and learning outcomes in the interprofessional Nexus of practice and education. The current AIHC leadership structure operates within a Collaboration Hub, which includes co-leaders/facilitators of four Collaboratives (Learning, Mentoring, Innovating and Evidence), co-leaders/facilitators of two Committees (Membership and Communications), and a variety of other stakeholders.
AIHC Collaboration Hub Convenors
AIHC is currently seeking nominations for one co-convenor for the AIHC Collaboration Hub. AIHC Co-Convenors have a national leadership and strategic role similar to the role of a President or Chair in other national professional organizations. The Co-Convenor will serve a 2-year term. Term will start in July 1, 2025 and will end on June 30, 2027. Completed, eligible nominations will be presented to the AIHC membership who will vote to elect the Co-Convenor.

AIHC Collaboratives
AIHC has four active Collaboratives and two committees that work together to advance the organizational goals. Please explore the opportunities described below and submit your interest today! Self nominations are welcome and encouraged. Committees will notify members who are selected to serve. All AIHC Collaborative role terms will begin on July 1, 2025.
Learning Collaborative
- Co-Facilitator: The Learning Collaborative is seeking a co-leader (Facilitator) that will serve for a 2 year term. This role includes planning and leading monthly meetings, in addition to attending the monthly AIHC Collaboration Hub meetings. The time commitment for meeting attendance is about 2 hours monthly. The goal of the Learning Collaborative is to aggregate existing IPE/IPC learning opportunities valuable to members then share with members, and identify needs for additional topics.
Innovating Collaborative
- Co- Facilitator: The Innovating Collaborative is seeking a co-leader (Facilitator) that will serve for a 2 year term. This role includes planning and leading monthly meetings, in addition to attending the monthly AIHC Collaboration Hub meetings. The goal of the Innovating Collaborative is to advance new initiatives that highlight the Nexus and strengthen interprofessional practice within communities and organizations.
- Members: Join on self-selected basis; support goals of Innovating Collaborative by attending meetings and volunteering to assist with Collaborative action items and activities. The goal of the Innovating Collaborative is to advance new initiatives that highlight the NEXUS and strengthen interprofessional practice within communities and organizations.
Membership Committee
- Co-Facilitator: The Membership Committee is seeking a co-leader (Facilitator) that will serve for a 2 year term. This role includes planning and leading monthly meetings, in addition to attending the monthly AIHC Collaboration Hub meetings. The goal of the Membership Committee is to support member communications in collaboration with the Collaboratives and Committees.
- AIHC Awards Lead: Leads the efforts to align awards criteria and rubrics with AIHC mission, vision, and values. Leads and facilitates review of submissions with members of the Membership Committee; AIHC awards to be given at Nexus meetings. Reports to Co-Facilitators. Will serve for a 2 year term.
- Evidence Collaborative Representative: Facilitates effective communication and collaboration between the Membership Committee and the Evidence Collaborative similar to a liaison role, fostering the exchange of information and ideas to establish a shared mental model. Additionally, ensure a closed-loop communication process in all directions. Representative serves on both the Membership Committee and the Evidence Collaborative. Will serve for a 2 year term.
- Communications Committee Representative: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the Membership Committee and the Communication Committee similar to a liaison role, fostering the exchange of information and ideas to establish a shared mental model. Additionally, ensure a closed-loop communication process in all directions. Representative serves on both the Membership and Communications Committees. Will serve for a 2 year term.
- Mentor Collaborative Representative: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the Membership Committee and the Mentor Collaborative similar to a liaison role, fostering the exchange of information and ideas to establish a shared mental model. Additionally, ensure a closed-loop communication process in all directions. Representative serves on both the Membership Committee and the Mentor Collaborative. Will serve for a 2 year term.
- Members: Join on self-selected basis; support goals of Membership Committee by attending meetings and volunteering to assist with committee-based actions/events/subcommittees. Will serve for a 2 year term.
Communications Committee
- Members: The Communications Committee is responsible for the generation of member communications in coordination with the other committees/collaboratives. Communication formats include the AIHC All-Member Brief, the AIHC website, social media, promotional materials, and other member-related communications.
