AIHC Interprofessional Educator Nomination Form

Nomination submission deadline: Monday, August 4, 2025

Description:  This award recognizes individuals who demonstrate excellence in interprofessional teaching.

Eligibility:  AIHC member in good standing for at least the past two years.

Nomination Materials:

The following should be provided in the application packet consisting of ten pages or less

  • Statement/description of IPE philosophy
  • Two letters of support from peers, learners, or community partners
  • Evidence of impact (e.g., peer or learner evaluations, publication list, outcomes demonstrating impact, project summaries, course materials, etc.)

Selection Criteria: (Only individual nominations are accepted-no group nominations.)

  1. Demonstrated Commitment to IPE
    • Consistently promotes interprofessional learning through teaching, mentoring, or program development.
    • Actively fosters collaboration across two or more health or social care professions.
  2. Innovative Educational Practices
    • Developed or implemented novel IPE initiatives, curricula, or tools that enhance student learning and engagement.
    • Uses evidence-based teaching methods aligned with the IPEC Core Competencies (e.g., teamwork, communication, ethics, roles/responsibilities).
  3. Impact on Learners and Colleagues
    • Evidence of sustained positive influence on students, trainees, or colleagues in interprofessional settings.
    • Promotes inclusive and equitable learning environments that reflect diverse perspectives.
  4. Scholarship and Dissemination
    • Contributes to the IPE field through research, presentations, or publications.
  5. Leadership and Collaboration
    • Serves as a role model and leader in advancing interprofessional collaboration within academic or clinical communities, or professional organizations.
