The American Interprofessional Health Collaborative (AIHC) Membership Committee, in conjunction with the AIHC Membership Awards Subcommittee, is thrilled to announce a call for nominations for 6 AIHC awards. The submission deadline for awards is Monday, August 4, 11:59 ET.
The awards are:
- AIHC Outstanding Faculty Mentor Award
- AIHC Interprofessional Collaborative Practice Award
- AIHC Interprofessional Educator Award
- AIHC Interprofessional Scholarship Award
- AIHC Individual Student Award for Interprofessional Collaborative Practice
- AIHC Student Team Award for Interprofessional Collaborative Practice

AIHC Outstanding Faculty Mentor Award
Description: This award is given to an AIHC member for outstanding mentorship to advance interprofessional collaboration. Mentorship may be formal or informal and with students and/or peers.
Eligibility: AIHC member in good standing for at least the past two years. Preference will be given to individuals who have served as a mentor with the AIHC Mentoring Program.
Nature of Award:
- Certificate of Award
- One-year free membership in AIHC
The award will be publicly acknowledged at national and international conferences such as the Nexus Summit and Collaborating Across Borders.
Submission Deadline: Monday, August 4, 11:59 ET.

- CV highlighting interprofessional mentoring engagement
Selection Procedure:
- Chair of the AIHC membership committee will call for nominations.
- Nominations for this award must come from an AIHC member. Self-nominations are accepted.
- The AIHC membership committee’s awards subcommittee will review nominations and determine the award recipient. A member of the Mentoring Collaborative will be invited to serve on the selection committee for this award.
AIHC Interprofessional Collaborative Practice Award
Description: This award recognizes individuals who demonstrate excellence in interprofessional collaborative practice.
Eligibility: AIHC member in good standing for at least the past two years.
Nature of the award:
- Certificate of award
- One year free membership to AIHC.
The award will be publicly acknowledged at national and international conference such as the Nexus Summit or Collaborating Across Borders.

Description: This award recognizes individuals who demonstrate excellence in interprofessional teaching.
Eligibility: AIHC member in good standing for at least the past two years.

- Uses evidence-based teaching methods aligned with the IPEC Core Competencies (e.g., teamwork, communication, ethics, roles/responsibilities).
- Impact on Learners and Colleagues
- Evidence of sustained positive influence on students, trainees, or colleagues in interprofessional settings.
- Promotes inclusive and equitable learning environments that reflect diverse perspectives.
- Scholarship and Dissemination
- Contributes to the IPE field through research, presentations, or publications.
- Leadership and Collaboration
- Serves as a role model and leader in advancing interprofessional collaboration within academic or clinical communities, or professional organizations.
AIHC Interprofessional Scholarship Award
Description: This award is given to recognize and reward individuals who have made significant contributions to research and scholarship in interprofessional practice and education.
Eligibility: AIHC member in good standing for at least the past two years.
Nature of award:

The award will be publicly acknowledged at national and international conferences such as the Nexus Summit or Collaborating Across Borders.

AIHC Individual Student Award for Interprofessional Collaborative Practice
Description: This award is given to a student who has demonstrated consistent engagement in an interprofessional collaborative practice within the clinic, classroom and/or community.
Eligibility: AIHC student member in good standing.
Nature of Award:
- Certificate of Award
- One year free membership to AIHC
- Public acknowledgement of award at a national conference such as the Nexus Summit or Collaborating Across Borders

The award will be publicly acknowledged at a national conference such as the Nexus Summit or Collaborating Across Borders.
